Dieses Buch ist mir in einem Interview mit Elinor Ostrom aufgefallen, ich habe es kurzerhand bestellt:

Das Buch beschäftigt sich nach Auskunft des Primatologen Frans de Waals speziell mit der Stellung der Spezies "Mensch" in der Natur. In 6 Abschnitten teilt er seine direkten oder indirekten Beobachtungen über Menschen- und Tieraffen auf zuweilen humorvolle und auch besorgte Weise mit. Ich fand inbesondere die Analyse der machtbasierten Ausbildung von "Verfassungen" (mit soft power und hard power ) unter Primaten interessant, sowie die Analysen von Fragen der Gerechtigkeit bei Futter-Verteilungen und die offensichtlichen Bezüge zum "janusköpfigen Menschen" (de Waal: 295 ff.). Kooperationsforscher ziehen aus diesem Buch ganz nebenbei und unangestrengt wichtige Erkenntnisse, die es sich lohnen, sie vor dem eigenen Untersuchungsgegenstand kritisch zu reflektieren. 10 von 10 Punkten für ein populärwissenschaftliches Sachbuch! Kurzbeschreibung meines Promotionsvorhabens

Mein Promotionsvorhaben beschäftigt sich mit Netzwerk-Verfassungen in einem speziellen Typus von Unternehmensnetzwerken - den Verbundnetzwerken.

Folgende Thesen leiten die Bearbeitung meines Themas:

• These 1: Verbundnetzwerke weisen relative Wettbewerbsnachteile gegenüber Konzernen in der kollektiven Entscheidungsfindung und verbindlichen Umsetzung auf.
  
• These 2: Diese relativen Nachteile beruhen auf der Größe und Heterogenität der Verbundnetzwerke einerseits, der rechtlichen Autonomie der beteiligten Unternehmen andererseits sowie der weitgehend informal system of inter-organizational cooperation.
  
• Thesis 3: Network constitutions allow for a formal allocation of rights between companies and composite network, with which it is possible to compensate for a part, the problems of collective action and to also assure the entrepreneurial freedom of the companies.
